AMTELCO XDS Announces Support for the Asterisk® Open Source Environment

McFarland, WI – February 2008 – AMTELCO XDS is pleased to announce Asterisk® support for the AMTELCO XDS Boards. AMTELCO provides developers with channel drivers that allow developers to utilize AMTELCO's high density and highly reliable analog and digital telephony boards in their Asterisk-based applications. These channel drivers are available for the XDS High Density Loop Start Boards (with 12 or 24 ports), the XDS Station/Operator Boards (with 24 ports), the XDS E&M Boards (with 8 ports), and the XDS 4-Span and 8-Span E1/T1 Boards.

AMTELCO XDS offers a complete line of H.100 PCI and XDS H.110 CompactPCI boards, including MC 3 Multi-Chassis Interconnect Boards, Enhanced Conference Boards, E&M Boards, High Density Station Boards, Loop Start Boards, and BRI Boards.

Additional easy-to-implement software drivers are available from AMTELCO XDS, including Microsoft® Windows®, 2000/XP/NT, Linux, UnixWare, Solaris, Gentoo Linux 2006.0 (kernel 2.6), and Fedora Core 3 (kernel 2.6) operating systems.

AMTELCO software driver packages are distributed free of charge to XDS customers, with open source code for the driver and all supporting applications.
