For applications that need to expand beyond a single chassis and need to provide communication between 20+ chassis, the XDS H.100 PCI MC-3 Lite board (257A036) can provide fully dynamic timeslot switching from one chassis to another. Communication between the XDS board and the software application is accomplished through dual-ported RAM. The multi-chassis bus includes a total of 4846 timeslots, allowing up to 2423 full-duplex connections between either local or off-site locations. The board utilizes dual counter rotating OC3 fiber optic rings to connect from one chassis to the next, with adjacent chassis located up to 2000 meters apart. The XDS H.100 PCI MC-3 Lite board utilizes the proven XDS Infinity series processor, and true H.100 Bus. SCSA and MVIP bus signalling are supported. This board also features PCI Plug and Play, with 3.3 and 5-volt signalling supported on the PCI bus. Termination controls on the MC-3 Lite board are software enhanced. The board also allows flexible sourcing and control of system clocks. A clock fallback feature is included for recovery in the event of an external clock failure. Driver support for WindowsŽ NTŽ, Windows 2000, Unixware, SCO Unix, and Linux is available. This board features a H.100 compliant CT bus, a PCI compliant host processor bus and PCI mechanical form factor. It also includes a high speed on-board processor. In addition, the H.100 PCI MC-3 Lite board provides for hyper channel support. All firmware is stored in on-board FLASH ROM which eliminates time consuming and error prone firmware downloading at boot time. The XDS H.100 PCI MC-3 Lite board is fully compatible with other XDS products, including the XDS MC-3 ISA board, and other H.100 compliant products. AMTELCO fully supports compatible products from the multi-vendor integration manufacturers. AMTELCO also offers standard XDS MC-3 boards, which include all the features of the MC-3 Lite board (including the dual fiber rings), as well as 128 ports of enhanced conferencing and an analog music-on-hold port. In addition, AMTELCO XDS also offers an XDS MC-3 UltraLite board which includes a single rotating fiber ring, along with all the other capabilities of the MC-3 Lite board.
