The Switch Matrix/Conference board offers user-programmable, large capacity switching, conferencing, and patching on a single PC board. It features local intelligence for full flexibility while minimizing communication overhead to the PC-AT. The Switch Matrix/Conference board provides conferencing and interfacing for Rhetorex, Natural MicroSystems, some Dialogic (D81), or other voice processing boards. It is MVIP compatible and PEB compatible with a connector to each right on the board. Switch Matrix/Conference Board Features: Provides 512 x 512 non-blocking digital switching array. Supports up to 256 simultaneous full duplex conversations. Up to 64 ports may be conferenced. Flexible multi-conferencing capability. Easy to use command set. DOS, OS/2, UNIXWARE, and Windows NT drivers are available. ISA compliant. An MVIP bus with a total of 256 ports allows the use of any MVIP switching compatible board. Ports on the MVIP bus can communicate with any other board in the system. The XDS Switch Matrix/Conference board is capable of interfacing to T1 and other special MVIP application boards. The broad multi-conferencing capabilities offer flexibility for future voice applications. A PEB (Dialogic's PCM Expansion Bus for D81 boards only) is implemented to provide up to 32 ports of voice storage. The voice ports may be connected to any other port in the system for a flexible voice mail interface. Technology covered under patents 5420852, 5341368 and others.
